It is 5 km northwest of Longyearbyen on the west coast and is the northern most airport in the world with scheduled public flights. April 11, 2020 - Canadian Xpress VATSIM Pilot Rating Program Effective, June 1st, 2020, VATSIM will be implementing a new Pilot Rating System. After careful consideration, it has been decided that Canadian Xpress® we will be withdrawing as a VATSIM Authorized Training Organization at that time.

Without getting into specifics, we have decided to withdrawl as an Authorized Training Organization due to the short notice from VATSIM regarding these changes that would require us to re-write our entire VATSIM pilot rating program from scratch which would represent hundreds of hours that we feel would be better suited in improving our virtual airline.
